WHAT DO I READ?
Urban fantasy, paranormal romance, romance (erotica at my discretion), light science fiction and fantasy, YA, comedy non-fiction and chick-lit - anything that a young woman ages 18-30 might enjoy. My target audience is college kids through young professionals who are discerning readers.
I also read books about cults and hemorrhagic fevers, but yeah, that's just me.
WHAT DON'T I READ?
I do not read and will not review (more than likely) middle grades, children's books, mysteries, memoirs, religious-themed fiction or non-fiction, or self-help books.
About religious books - I am not a religious person, but I will not review (or at least review favorably) books that do have an undertone that bashes the religious or the non-religious.
How-to's for dating are a possibility, though, because I sure know I could use some help in that arena.
OTHER INFO
I reserve the right to not finish a book, but this is a worst case scenario and rarely happens.
I also have and will give negative reviews if a book warrants it. I try my best to be constructive in my criticism, and I feel that negative reviews often incite the most discussion about a book.
I will include the cover, description as provided by Goodreads or Amazon (in some cases I will create my own description), information on publisher and date of publication, and pertinent information.
REVIEW REQUESTS
If the book fits the list above, please feel free to contact me to express interest. I will try and respond within 72 hours, but in the event that I do not respond, please take that as a thanks but no thanks to your request. I prefer hardcopies to ebooks but will accept ebooks on a case by case basis. I own a Kindle so they must be compatible (.mobi or PDF).
PRIORITY
In addition to being a hobby reviewer, I am also a jobseeker and a writer. There will be times where I will be backed up, but I will try my best to review. Books that I have personally requested will come before unsolicited material, but I will try to review everything that I take on.
CROSSPOSTING
I also post my reviews on Goodreads, LibraryThing, and Amazon, and occasionally Paperback Swap.
AUTHOR INTERVIEWS/GIVEAWAYS/BLOG TOURS
I will be willing to participate in these, just let me know the details by contacting me. Of course, I prefer to be familiar with their work before participation, but I'm always willing to consider something. It can't hurt for you to ask.
